In Northern Virginia, along the Potomac River, I found a small abandoned boat dock. Standing at the end of the dock, I was able to get close to this Osprey Nest which was on top of a post sticking out of the water. In this image the male has just returned to the nest. Note the chick on the right side of the nest.
